Our 3rd Cabernet with Battier event was held on Saturday, February 4th at Byblos Miami, and it was certainly a night to remember! We were honored to bring together so many incredible people who share our mission to send more deserving young students to college.
The night kicked off with wine tastings from 5 outstanding Napa Valley wineries: Arietta, CAMi, Paul Hobbs, Pavi, Peju, Rapport, Sidelight and Stark Advantage. Our guests then joined us in the gorgeous Byblos dining room for a delicious, multi-course Mediterranean meal, paired expertly with vintages from our Napa partners. The crowd was incredibly generous during our live auction, and showed huge love to the true stars of the evening - the five Battier Scholars who joined us for the night. Seeing our supporters both new and old, connecting with Maurice, Julio, Ife, Miguel and Raqqya was the best possible reminder of why we do what we do.
And as always, it’s never a true Battier event without Karaoke. We upped the ante this year with a full live band to accompany all aspiring singers willing to brave our stage, and our friends from “Live Karaoke!” did not disappoint! The band’s talent was matched by their energy, and they got the whole Byblos lounge in on the fun. It was a one-of-a-kind rockstar experience, and we are so happy they joined the festivities.
A huge THANK YOU to all who attended, as well as those who partnered with us to make the night a huge success, including Alchemy Agency and our generous Vineyard partners. Together, we raised over $275,000, every dollar of which will directly fund college scholarships for some incredible young scholars. It was an honor for the Battier Take Charge Foundation team to be the company of so many truly good people – those who have supported from the beginning, several who have pitched in as mentors, and many who are new to the Take Charge Family. The generosity and love shown throughout the night made Cabernet with Battier 2023 our most memorable event to date.
Our next Cabernet with Battier will be held on February 3, 2024, and we hope many of you will consider joining us. Tickets will be available soon!
