Overview
Battier Guide Camden was started in 2022 thanks to the incredible partnership of Daryl Morey, President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers and his wife Ellen, a BTCF Board Member. Select high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Camden Academy Charter High School participate in twice-weekly college preparatory classes, individualized career exploration, and professional networking events. Each student completes the Battier Guide curriculum and upon successful completion receives a $10,000 scholarship for post-graduate studies.
As of June 2024, 30 students have successfully completed the Battier Guide Camden Program, with 100% furthering their education beyond high school. To date, BTCF has awarded $315,000 in scholarships to Battier Guide-Camden students. For the '24-'25 school year, Battier Guide Camden will serve 46 students, and anticipates graduating 17 students in spring 2025.

We take an active role in encouraging and guiding them, and are committed to providing the resources they need to achieve success in college and beyond.
