We’re back for year two of Serving Up Empowerment! Join Daryl and Ellen Morey and the students of Battier Guide-Camden for an exciting afternoon of table tennis tournaments, exhibitions, and a live auction.Hosted in support of The Battier Take Charge Foundation, which provides educational opportunities for underserved youth, this unique event brings together Philadelphia 76ers VIPs and fans for an unforgettable night of fun and philanthropy.

Battier Guide Camden was started in 2022 thanks to the incredible partnership of Daryl Morey, President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers and his wife Ellen, a BTCF Board Member. Select high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Camden Academy Charter High School participate in twice-weekly college preparatory classes, individualized career exploration, and professional networking events. Each student completes the Battier Guide curriculum and upon successful completion receives a $10,000 scholarship for post-graduate studies.

As of June 2025, 47 students have successfully completed the Battier Guide Camden Program, with 100% furthering their education beyond high school. To date, BTCF has awarded $315,000 in scholarships to Battier Guide-Camden students. For the '25-'26 school year, Battier Guide Camden will serve 46 students, and  graduate 20 seniors in spring 2025.
